Where I’ve Been and What’s Been Going On (Personal & Creative Update)

Hey there, friends and fellow creatives. If you’ve been wondering why I’ve been M.I.A. lately, this post is for you. Life threw me some unexpected challenges these past few years — but it’s also been a season of growth, reflection, and big milestones. I want to share where I’ve been, what I’ve learned, and what’s coming next for me and this blog.
The Unexpected Hiatus
First, let’s talk about why I disappeared for a bit. I wasn’t ignoring you on purpose — I was fighting a battle that many don’t talk about openly: chronic health issues. Specifically, I’ve been managing endometriosis, a condition that caused a lot of physical pain and mental exhaustion. It affected my ability to work consistently, focus on projects, and keep a steady creative output.
Dealing with health challenges is a humbling experience. It forced me to slow down, listen to my body, and rethink how I approach work and life. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.
Finishing My Degree with Honors
During this time, I was also finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Digital Filmmaking. Balancing school, health, and everything else wasn’t simple, but I’m proud to say I graduated with honors. That accomplishment meant the world to me because it proved that perseverance pays off — even when the odds feel stacked.
Finishing school was not just a diploma; it was a personal victory, a reminder that despite setbacks, I’m still moving forward.
Diving Into the Workforce
Right after graduation, I stepped into the workforce full-time. Transitioning from student life to professional life is a big jump — and I’m embracing every challenge it brings. I’ve been exploring different roles in the industry to build a versatile foundation and learn what fits my strengths and passions.
This phase is all about growth, networking, and sharpening my skills. It’s exciting and a little scary, but I’m here for it.
Moving and Traveling
On top of everything, I made a big move. Relocating pushed me out of my comfort zone and opened new doors. Plus, I’ve been fortunate to travel more than I expected this year — gaining fresh inspiration and a wider perspective, which I can’t wait to channel into my work.
What’s Next
Now that I’m back in the driver’s seat, I’m refocusing on this blog as a place to share my journey, lessons learned, and resources for fellow creatives. I’ll be posting regularly about filmmaking, personal development, mental health, and more.
Thank you for your patience and for sticking around. I’m excited to reconnect and grow with you.
